A Little Bit About Me

So this is where I’m supposed to tell you a little bit about myself.   I was first introduced to beads YEARS ago by Mom and some of her homemade crafts.  I touched them here and there through my life, but didn’t enter fully into the beading world until I was reintroduced while making dream catchers.  Beads looked pretty on the webbing…. I was looking for some and began buying fun little hemp kits.  I was hooked…. Completely and fully.   The obsession has blossomed full fledged to the point that my basement looks like something akin to a bead store!  In order to support my habit, I started selling my jewelry.  Just little things here and there.  When I got a positive response I branched out a bit more.  Encouraged by friends and family to expand my talents I decided to start this site.  So, here I am!

Some other stuff about me.  My kids!  My kids are my heart, my passion, my everything!  They give me joy and inspiration at every turn.  Yes, they’re naughty, they're not perfect, neither am I!  But I can channel that frustratedenergy when they're naughty into my jewelry and create something with it.  

My son, Luke, is 14 and will be entering nineth grade this year.  He’s smart, creative, clever and has a big heart.  He can figure out computer games in a matter of minutes and reads instruction manuals for fun. 

My daughter, Brigid, is 4 going on 30.  She’s a joy at every turn.  She likes to talk on the phone already and has attitude to spare.  Happy, smart, mischievous in the most adorable way and darn right cute!    But then... I'm partial!  

My husband, Shawn, works full time, games, collects weaponry and hangs out with the kids. 

I work a full time job at a nationwide telcom corporation as well.  I hope to one day be at the point where I can quit, make jewelry and my own lampwork beads full time, but until then…..  I AM lucky though.  I’m one of those few people out there that LIKE their corporate jobs!  I have a fantastic boss and work with an awesome bunch of people directly in my office and across the country.   Beading and making jewelry is my nights and weekends.  It’s my relaxation, my happiness and my time.  I am also fortunate in that I’ve gotten Luke hooked on beads and jewelry making.  He’s beginning to make forays into my little world, which is why you see a page for him in here.  He’s already made a couple sales too!
