 About my jewelry…

I use several components in the creation of my jewelry. Including, but not limited to:

š    Sterling silver from around the globe including Bali and Karen’s Hill Tribe in Thailand.

š    Swarovski crystals, both new and vintage.

š    Czechoslovakian glass

š    Naturally occurring stones in the rough and/or carved into shapes.

š    Semi-precious stones, both faceted and smooth.

š    Pewter

š    Some 14k gold

š    Yarn

š    Silk

š    Sterling chain

š    High quality, imported, Greek leather

š    Vintage, handmade glass from around the globe

š    And the best of all…. Lampwork beads made by true glass artisans…..

When I reference lampwork artwork in any of my jewelry I will note the artist’s name and usually a link to their site as long as I have their permission.  I gather this information when I purchase the beads.  However, there are times when I’ve purchased (and will purchase) from a bead store and the clerk working is not aware of who made them.

I DO NOT purchase mass made lampwork.  Early in my jewelry making years, before I truly learned about lampwork, I purchased some mass made beads.  They were pretty, but left dust behind and tended to crack.  Not something I could depend on.  As I’ve learned, I’ve become a bit of a ‘bead snob’ and covet beads made by artists who make astoundingly beautiful beads, anneal them for lasting strength and clean them thoroughly.

The finished product…

I try to make my jewelry to last, but I’m aware that reality comes in the play.  I’m a Mom and know that toddlers have a knack for grabbing sparkly bobbles.  I also work full time and know that desks, cars and many other objects are out there and are trying to rip pretty jewelry right off of you. Should anything happen to your jewelry I will try to recreate it for you with little to no charge to you.  Please bear in mind, many of my pieces are one of a kind not only because of the design, but because of the beads used.  Due to this fact, I may not be able to recreate the exact same piece, but I will work with you to ensure your happiness.

Payment…

As I’m still new to the game, I can only accept payment via PayPal at this time.  If you don’t have an account, I highly recommend it.  Through PayPal you are able to pay directly from your bank account or by credit card.

Shipping…

Shipping is a flat rate of $3.00.  This includes packaging and transport.  Insurance is an additional $1.50 and optional, but recommended.  I ship twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.  If something is occurring that will alter shipping dates temporarily you will be able to find the information on the ‘Coconut Telegraph’ page and on the Home page.

Custom Orders…

I am open to some custom orders.  Please e-mail me at Katie@shamrock-inc-jewelry.com and we’ll discuss what I can do for you.  I’ve made many bridal sets, matching or complimentary jewelry for bridesmaids.  Gifts for others, gifts for yourself and ‘Wedding Bracelets’ are also items I’ve made.  Wedding bracelets are comprised of new beads, vintage beads and blue beads are a wonderful gift for the bride to be in your life.  Keeping with the tradition of something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue for luck on their day.  Some of the brides that have received a ‘Wedding Bracelet’ have borrowed a pretty little purse to fulfill the last requirement and carried it with them for luck on their day.  After which they have a little something they can wear anytime to remind them of their wedding day!
